About Signature Theatre

Role Overview
The Company Manager serves as a key contact between company members and administrative teams and ensures smooth operations throughout rehearsals, performances, and special events. This in-season, seasonal role reports to the General Management department and supports multiple productions from August 2025 through mid-July 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate communications among artists, management, production personnel
- Draft and administer performer contracts; coordinate with Associate GM
- Oversee ticketing and house seat requests, collaborating with Box Office & Marketing
- Process weekly payroll, union reports, and manage company budget
- Provide on-site coverage for rehearsals/events, including nights, weekends & holidays
- Organize reception events, opening nights, and special activities
- Procure and distribute opening-night gifts
- Advise staff and artists on Signature Theatre policies
- Handle ad hoc tasks as directed by senior management
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum one year of experience as a Company Manager or in General Management office
- Familiarity with Off-Broadway operations and theatrical unions (AEA, SDC, USA, Local 802) preferred
- Excellent organization, attention to detail, and administrative skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- Collaborative mindset with a solutions-oriented approach
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; Tessitura experience is a plus
- Ability to remain calm and resourceful in fast-paced environments
- Sense of humor, enthusiasm for theater, and ability to thrive on-site evening/weekends/holidays
