Position Overview
Role: Internal Audit Field Officer (IA FO)
Team: Recipient Safeguarding and Advocacy – operates independently from operations to maintain confidentiality
Reports to: Internal Audit Associate
Type: Full-time, remote (Travel under 5%)
Location: United States-based, with occasional international travel—typically 1 or 2 trips per year
Responsibilities
- Field Surveys (40%): Engage recipients via virtual surveys (using Aidkit, Salesforce) to identify issues like fund access, fraud, or scams.
- Reporting & Analysis (30%): Log complaints, escalate issues per protocol, maintain daily notes and produce weekly summaries.
- Support & Investigation (30%): Assist with field operations, risk assessments, community engagement, and investigate suspected scams or imposters.
Skills & Qualifications
- Fluent in English (additional languages like Spanish, Arabic, French, Swahili, Kinyarwanda are a bonus)
- Excellent interpersonal skills, active listening, discretion, and high emotional intelligence
- Experience working with vulnerable populations (2+ years preferred)
- Tech-savvy: comfortable with smartphones or tablets for data entry
