Resume Summary
Lead the North America sales organization – including the U.S. and Canada – to enhance revenue, oversee business planning, assist in the strategic development of emerging markets (solar lighting and smart poles), and manage pricing and customer service functions. This role supports senior management and is responsible for long-term strategic visioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Coordinate through instruction to the outside and inside sales forces via coaching, business planning, instructional initiatives, and training.
- Growth & Forecasting: Achieve revenue targets, maintain gross margin, and oversee sales forecasting and pipeline.
- Market Expansion: Initiate development activities in new segments such as solar lighting and smart poles.
- Team & Channel Management: Create national account plans, improve sales funnels, and optimize customer experience.
- Competitive Intelligence: Track industry and competitor activity to inform commercial strategy.
- Key Account Engagement: Fulfill Key Account Manager responsibilities for select high-value clients.
- Travel: 50%+ domestic travel to US and Canada, some overseas travel for meetings and trade shows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or similar fields.
- Over 10 to 15 years riding the revenue wave in sales of outdoor lighting, along with a proven track record.*
- At least 5 years in sales leadership.*
- Strong interpersonal, coaching, and strategic planning skills.*
- Strong verbal and written communication, negotiation, and team building skills.
